Ghostbuster Costume

Follow these simple directions to create a Ghostbuster costume.

Ghostbuster Costume

Time: 1 hour

Effort: Easy – no sewing required

Materials:

  • Jumpsuit, overalls, or sweats
  • Red felt
  • White felt
  • Black felt marker
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Empty wooden fruit box (the kind that oranges or berries come in)
  • Silver spray paint
  • Duct tape
  • Vacuum cleaner hose

Instructions: Make a "no" symbol by cutting the red felt into a circle with a slash through it. Cut a little white ghost out of the felt, and draw a ghost face on it with black marker. Glue the ghost behind the circle. Glue the "Ghostbuster" symbol to the front of your child's jumpsuit, overalls, or sweats.

Spray paint the wooden box silver. Cut a circle in the top or side of the box, so that you can poke a vacuum hose out of the box. Use duct tape to strap the box on to the back of your child's clothing.

Other details: Teach your child to say, "I ain't afraid of no ghost," and "He slimed me."
