Dancing Flower Costume
Follow these simple directions to create a Dancing Flower costume for Halloween.
Dancing Flower Costume
Time: 2 hours or less
Effort: Easy some sewing
Materials:
- Black sweatpants and sweatshirt
- Colored poster board: green, brown, and a neon color for flower face
- Needle and thread
- Big novelty plastic sunglasses
- Plastic blow-up instrument (saxophone, guitar, etc.) or poster board and paint to make your own
- Scissors
- String (2 feet)
Instructions: Cut a flower shape out of the neon poster board and make a hole in the center to fit your child's face. Next, cut leaves out of the green poster board and attach them with a few quick stitches to the arms and legs of the black sweatpants and shirt.
Cut out a flowerpot from the brown poster board. Attach a loop of string to the top of the flowerpot and hang it around your child's neck. It should hang about waist level. Have your child put the sunglasses and flower face on.
Other details: Your child can carry around a boom box and dance to it, or carry the blow-up instrument.
