D.W. (Arthur's Little Sister) Costume
Time: 1-2 hours
Effort: Easy – no sewing required
Materials:
- Hot glue gun
- Skein of brown yarn
- Pink felt
- Headband
- Solid pink jumper
- Pink striped turtleneck
- Pink striped socks
- Black or brown Mary Jane shoes
- Scissors
Instructions: To make D.W.'s hair, coat the headband with hot glue and wrap brown yarn tightly around the headband from end to end. Attach long strands of brown yarn all around the underside of the headband. Determine length of strands by trying headband on child's head. Cut little aardvark ears out of the felt and attach to the top of the headband.
Other details: If you can't find a pink jumper, any color jumper will work, as long as the striped shirt and socks match. If the jumper has pockets on the front, you might want to cut out D.W.'s initials and attach one to each pocket. You can also have your child carry a D.W. doll with her when she goes out treat-or-treating.
