Cat Burglar Costume

Effort: Quick and easy — no sewing required

Materials:

  • Dark pants and sweatshirt
  • Black knit cap
  • Black face paint
  • Rope
  • Spoons and forks, or costume jewelry
  • Flashlight
  • Reflective elements for costume (for safety)

Instructions: Once your child is dressed in the clothes, coil some rope over his shoulder. Rub paint under his eyes for a shadowy effect. Put some "silverware" or costume jewelry in a treat bag to clink and clank a bit. You can also hot glue some lightweight, trinket-type jewelry to the top of the treat bag. Put reflective tape or a reflective patch on the back of the shirt. Make sure your child uses the flashlight!
