Bumblebee Costume
Time: 1 hour
Effort: Easy — some sewing required
Materials:
- Yellow turtleneck
- Yellow sweatpants
- Black electrical tape
- Black headband
- Black and yellow pipe cleaners
- Black nylons
- Black shoes
- Craft wire (or coat hangers)
- Black thread and needle
- Paper towel roll
- Black construction paper
- Scissors
Instructions: Use the electrical tape to make black stripes on the yellow shirt and pants.
Twist the pipe cleaners, and attach them to the head band for antennae. Form the outline of wings with the wire (or coat hangers), and cover the outline with black nylons. Stitch the wings to the back of the shirt with a few loops of thread.
For the stinger, take the paper towel roll and cover it in black construction paper. Form a cone-shaped tip, and tape that to one end of the roll. Once your child is dressed in the costume, tape the stinger to her bottom.
