Bag of Popcorn Costume

Time: 30 minutes

Effort: Quick and easy — no sewing required

Materials:

  • Brown paper bag (large enough to cover your child's torso
  • Red and white poster paint and brushes
  • Blue permanent marker
  • Black pants or tights
  • Black shirt
  • Glue gun
  • Popped popcorn
  • Baseball cap (optional)

Instructions: Paint the bag with vertical red and white stripes. After the paint dries, write the word "popcorn" with the blue marker on the front and back of the bag. (Note: the bottom of the bag will be the top of the costume.)

Cut out a hole for your child's head on the flat bottom of the bag and cut out arm holes on the sides. Hot-glue the popped popcorn onto the flat bottom of the bag where your child's head will come out. You may also glue popped popcorn onto an old baseball cap and add that to your child's costume.
