Pokemon™ Card Costume
Time: More than 1 day
Effort: Fairly easy - some sewing
Materials:
- 2 large pieces of poster board
- A comfortable strap
- Paints: red, blue, gray, white, and yellow
- Paintbrushes
- A Pokemon card
- Blue sweatshirt and pants
Instructions: Take the two pieces of poster board and your child's favorite Pokemon card. Paint the Pokemon on one of the boards. On the other board, paint the back of the Pokemon card as best you can. When that dries, sew the straps to the blue sweatshirt. Make sure everything is nice and snug! You can use holographic wrapping paper for the background.
Tips: You can make a color copy of the character and enlarge it, stick it to poster board and paint the rest. You may want to laminate or cover the boards with plastic wrap in case of rain. You can also attach straps to top of each board and wear like a sandwich board.
