Giant Sunflower Costume

Time: 1 hour

Effort: Quick and easy – no sewing required

Materials:

  • Yellow felt
  • Brown felt
  • Green leotard
  • Green tights
  • Brown face paint
  • Fake leaves (buy these, or make your own with green felt)
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Big circle of cardboard
  • Green spray for hair
  • Scissors

Instructions: Cut a hole in a cardboard for your child's face. Line the inner edge with brown felt, so that it shows on both sides. Glue this down. Cut strips of yellow felt for the petals, and glue them all around the circle, on both sides.

Hot glue the leaves all over the tights and leotard.

Pull or slick your child's hair back. Once she has the headpiece on, spray the back of her head with green hairspray, and apply the brown face paint to her face.
