Hockey Player Costume

Time: Mere minutes

Effort: Easy - no sewing required

Materials:

  • Sweatshirt, numbered (or add number w/colored tape)
  • Trousers
  • Broom/hockey stick
  • 2 oven mitts
  • 2 hot pads
  • Bike/skating helmet
  • Safety pins

Instructions: Pin one hot pad to each knee of pants. Put on the helmet and the oven mitts. Grab the broom or stick, and go!

Tips: Props are not generally appreciated at school parties, and are also easy to leave behind and lose, so consider taping a favorite team's name on the helmet, and a player's name on the shirt. Or just write "I live for Hockey!" on the treat bag, or "Hockey Rules!" on a big office label (slap that on anywhere it makes sense).
