Happy Camper Costume

Time: About one hour

Effort: Easy - no sewing required

Materials:

  • Piece of cardboard bigger than your child's face
  • Elastic or string
  • Yellow paint and paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Black marker
  • Backpack
  • Canteen
  • Hiking boots
  • Walking stick
  • Hiking shorts

Instructions: Cut a large circle from the cardboard - a little larger than your child's face. Cut eyeholes out of circle. Paint the circle yellow and draw a smiley face on it when the paint is dry. Staple on an elastic (long enough to hold the mask on), or staple string to each side to tie mask on. Dress your child in camping gear and have him whistle "Happy Trails" as he trick-or-treats.
