Slice of Pizza Costume

Time: 3 hours

Effort: Quick and easy - no sewing required

Materials:

  • At least 6 feet of 1" thick foam
  • Felt: Light brown (mushrooms), red (pepperoni), green (green peppers), black (olives)
  • Acrylic Paint: White and dark brown
  • Paint brushes
  • Spray Paint: Yellow and red
  • Hot glue gun
  • Exacto knife
  • Pizza box

Instructions: Fold foam in half, with approximately 4" rolled up on the front side to resemble crust of pizza. Use the Exacto knife to cut foam into giant triangle: Point at the top, rolled up crust at the bottom. Use the hot glue gun to glue both sides together. Spray paint the backside and crust yellow. Paint all other parts red. Cut a hole in the front for the child's head and two holes for her arms (approximately 4" from the edge). Cut out shapes to resemble the mushrooms, pepperoni, peppers, and olives. Shade with acrylic paints. With a rag, add a little white paint on top of the felt ingredients and sauce to resemble cheese. Use the pizza box to collect treats.
