Skeleton Costume

Time: 1 hour

Effort: Easy - some sewing required

Materials:

• Black sweatshirt with or without hood
• Black sweatpants
• Jointed cardboard skeleton decoration (choose size according to size of child)
• Needle and thread, safety pins, or tape
• White gloves
• Face paint

Instructions: Carefully take apart the cardboard skeleton decoration. Sew, pin, or tape each cardboard bone to the appropriate part of the body. Paint face to look like a skeleton or use the head part of the decoration as a mask. Just cut out holes for eyes, nose, and mouth. Attach string/thread to each side of decoration and tie to head. Wear white gloves as a finishing touch.

Variation: Draw a design of a skeleton on felt and cut out the "bones." Paint each bone with glow in the dark paint. Sew or glue the bones onto the sweat suit.
