Elmo Costume

Time: 30 minutes

Effort: Some sewing

Materials:

  • Large orange pom-pom
  • Red knit ski hat
  • Two large white pom-poms
  • Two small black felt circles (for eyes)
  • Glue
  • Red sweatpants
  • Red sweatshirt
  • Needle and thread
  • Red face paint (optional)

Instructions: Sew the orange pom-pom to the brim of the red knit hat, right near the edge next to your child's forehead. (This is Elmo's nose.)

Sew the white pom-poms close together above the orange pom-pom. Then glue or sew the black felt circles to the white pom-poms. (These are Elmo's eyes.)

Paint your child's face red, if you like.

Have him dress in the sweatshirt and sweatpants, then put the hat on him.
